Lemon Pesto Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 handfuls washed basil leaves
  • Peel of 1 lemon
  • Juice of Β½ lemon
  • 75 g parmesan cheese
  • ΒΌ to β…“ cup olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • β…“ cup toasted pine nuts or almonds

Directions

  1. Add basil leaves, lemon peel, lemon juice, parmesan, and toasted pine nuts or almonds to a food processor.
  2. Pulse until finely combined.
  3. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while blending until smooth.
  4. Season with salt to taste.
  5. Blend again until creamy and well combined.
  6. Serve immediately or store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator.
