Ingredients
- 500 ml tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup white vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp sweetener
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
Directions
- Add the tomato sauce, vinegar, sweetener, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika to a saucepan.
- Whisk well until fully combined.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Reduce the heat and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Allow the ketchup to thicken slightly.
- Taste and adjust seasoning or sweetness if desired.
- Let cool completely before transferring to a jar or airtight container.
- Store in the refrigerator and enjoy as a healthier ketchup alternative.
