Ingredients
- 2 cups dried chickpeas (soaked overnight)
- 1 small onion
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 cup fresh parsley
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
- Oil for frying
Directions
- Soak the dried chickpeas overnight, then drain well.
- Add the chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, and cilantro to a food processor. Blend until finely combined.
- Add cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, salt, baking soda, and sesame seeds. Mix well.
- Refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes.
- Shape into small balls or patties.
- Heat oil and fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
- Serve warm with vegetables, pickles, tahini sauce, or keto bread.
